Making progress on my sunburst granny afghan!

So here are 10 colors from the yarn I got a couple weeks back. There are quite a few "red" in the collection. I wish this yarn have more colors to choose from, but here they seem to look pretty nice together. Oh, by the way, the yarn I am using is called Cotton Fair. It's a weight #2 yarn, so it's really light and soft. I looked on a few different places online, and they only have 14 colors total. I hope they will add more colors as I really like the texture of it.

And here, you can see I added round #4 to make the circle a square. Nittybits have a wonderful outline (click to see) for round #4 on her post that is so easy to follow that all you need is the pic to follow. Ok... in case you are counting... I am missing 1 square in this pic. I thought I got them all out of the zippy bag when I took a pic of it, guess I missed one!

Speaking of zippy bag, I wanted to share with you a little hack I use for storing my yarn while I work on my project. I like to use the slider zippy bag to store my yarn. And when I am done with one color, I zip close the bag with a little tail of the yarn sticking outside the bag (see pic). This make it easy to find the tail again when I go back and it also keep my yarn clean.

About Me

Hi! My name is Yeeli. I love coffee, chocolate and caramel. I also love to crochet and knit. More crochet than knit, if you may ask. :) I am a mom to 2 busy kiddos and my husband is a badass orchestral conductor who is really good at what he does. When I am not spending time making messes and loud noises with my kids, I like to make things with yarn. I also enjoy cooking and baking. But, drinking coffee is still my favorite thing to do. Chocolate and caramel? Yes, those too! Here, you will see me write about things that I do with my kids, stuff we made, stuff I made, or just about anything that come across my little corner. So, come on in. Take a visit around my blog. If you see something you enjoy, leave a comment and let me know!
